Carta á paz (versão em inglês)

Letter To The Peace

Through June 1914 and November 1918 more than 10 millions people were killed. In these 4 years families were vanished, the fear was spreat, hope has been destroyed, what’s the price for that? It’s simply land dispute.
On 1st September 1939, it was declared the beginning of the slaughtered which would last until the year of 1945, a weapon conflict envolving the army which has taken 70 millions people.
The cold war, a very good explanation for an economic conflict guided by the capitalist desire. Iraq war, almost a poetic nomination for a political opposition which has taken to the invasion of Iraq territory, as it was expected more human lives were lost.
Among a lot of antagonic disputes, it is almost uthopic think of a peaceful world where all men could share the gift of living in harmony, once we see too shocking data we realize that the greed and the necessity to be in higher position to others, and it becomes common sense and considered normal in our capitalist society.
But the conformism is not a typical human thing, we always wait for a better situation, and sometimes we forget we are able to make a difference, to make it happen, we don’t need to rebel or even become revolutionaries, only some changes in our every day could make the big difference when we talk about “peace”.
What is peace? This concept seems to be a little abstract to be defined, once the concept of peace can vary from person to person. To some, peace is living in harmony with others, to other people, the speech of a miss universe is the true definition of peace. Some people may say that a white dove with an olive leaf is the highest symbol of peace, but in fact, we cannot let the common sense, if we do believe in this, we will never reach a truly peace.
We can elicit lots of clichés about how to reach peace, just being friendly with others, plant a tree, help who needs, although, all these concepts can be summarized in a single word, RESPECT. The day we respect one another, the world will reach a non-uthopic peace, nevertheless, we can come from different places, not talk the same language or even not share the same believes, but our heart beat as one.
And finally to finish the text with a reflexive valour, it’s worth to remember of a quote about the United States Independence trate which says: “All the men are created the same, they are gifted by our Lord with unchangeable rights, among them – Life, Liberty and the search of Happiness.
To take this thought out of the paper and bring to the reality, depends just on us! Do your part and enjoy the results.
